Canto al Margine is a sonorization work of the homonymous text by Francesco Chiantese, who is also the speaking actor in the piece.

A contemporary requiem, Canto al Margine has an open sonic genetics: as the text explores the notion of possibility and alternative outcome of a personal story, music encloses Chiantese’s voice with a suspended soundscape. 

The pictures represent the peculiar listening experience proposed in Nottilucente Festival 2020: an intimate fruition was both a necessity – due to pandemic emergency – and an opportunity to protect the fragile sonic and semantic elements of the work.
